Landed to Porto, assembled the bike. And... let the new adventure begin!
Setting off from Porto today, moving southward with the intention of cycling across Portugal. Embracing the challenge in near-zero temperatures, our minds paint mysterious creatures in the thick fog.
Today, we finally made it to the ocean. It's amazing. Feeling blessed to witness the world's highest waves in Nazaré during the sunset.
Heading south through Portugal, today's chapter has been filled with warmth, sunshine and lovely unexpected new acquaintances.
The first chapter of our Portuguese journey comes to an end in beautiful Lisbon. Now it's time to take a short break, make new plans and get on with it.
A charming yellow ferry that took us across the Tagus River. Glimpses of lighthouses, green scenery, cliffs, and steep climbs under the endless sunshine. And so begins Chapter 2 of our wonderful Portuguese adventure.

After a wild week of cycling through Portugal, today we hit the jackpot – the magical south coast. Cliffs that make your head spin, gravel roads leading to views straight out of dreams, and landscapes that tease Africa. Our adventure is turning into one heck of a story, and we're just getting started.
Isabel and Cem have just joined us. On Christmas Day we went for an easy ride. Getting ready for a big and remote adventure in the next few days.
Today we started another chapter of our epic Portuguese adventure, heading east into Spain, following parts of the European Divide Trail. This has to be the most remote and challenging part. We are planning our food and water supplies in advance and preparing for wild camping. There are times when every meter of the track is a battle.
Passing more villages and farmhouses on dirt roads with very steep climbs, we head east towards Spain.
Today we cycled through endless fields of flowers, almost all day long. It was a very beautiful day... until we found that insane abandoned copper mine. It just blew our minds. Sometimes you could not believe you're still in the real world. The place looked so surreal, it felt like we were in a strangely designed computer game.
Today we crossed the border.
As dawn painted the Spanish sky in shades of pink and gold, the next day of our adventure began. The sun's rays pierced the mist, casting enchanting shadows on the winding path and creating a breathtaking canvas of light and nature.
Last push and our fantastic adventure is over for the year.
Tired but happy, looking at all the pictures and videos and thinking about how much fun we have had these past few weeks.
